Champion Difference: Civil Service Diversity and Inclusion Awards
“I am delighted to launch the 2017 ‘Championing difference: Civil Service Diversity and Inclusion Awards’.
The Awards are now in their 11th year, and I take great pleasure in seeing the range of nominations each year, demonstrating all the inspiring and creative work happening across government. Being nominated for an award is recognition of the contribution and success of those colleagues who have gone out of their way to champion difference and make the Civil Service a better place to work.
One of my top priorities is for the Civil Service to be the UK’s most inclusive employer, representative of modern Britain and the public we serve. This will only happen when differences of background and points of view are truly valued in a Civil Service that is diverse, inclusive and constantly challenging itself to do better.
These awards provide an opportunity to showcase our success and I strongly encourage you to participate. If you know of an individual or team doing outstanding work in this area, then please do nominate them.”
Sir Jeremy Heywood, Cabinet Secretary and Head of the Civil Service
