Longsight BAU Team
The feedback has been very positive with female customers becoming more confidence in breaking down the cultural barriers to work and seeing how they could still maintain cultural standards whilst also considering moving into the world of work.
24 customers were referred, with 22 attending. Of these 22, 5 have subsequently moved into employment. A further 7 opted to undertake further Jobcentre funded courses to move them closer to work and another 5 joined ESOL programs to increase their English language skills to again move them closer to work.
By empowering these women to see working as beneficial to both themselves and their families the team have helped to both raise the customers’ expectations and options in improving their lives.
